Ever wonder what "Mashiko" means?
Well, it's a name of a town in Japan famous for its pottery.
We use very few of the authentic Mashiko ware here at the restaurant
(because they're !@#$% expensive).
But we love our plates made by a local artist, Akiko's Pottery.

Ms. Akiko supplies us with handmade stoneware that compliments
our chef's creations beautifully. She has a studio in West Seattle.
